DOG RESCUE & REHOMING

Deerness has a seperate Rescue block of kennels for our Rescue Dogs called Stray Action for Dogs (' SAD'). We have rescued over 2,220 dogs in the last three years. We are also aided by Supporters of Stray and Abandoned Dogs (Registered Charity No. 1128800 - 'SOSAD'), who provide assistance with veterinary fees.

STRAY ACTION FOR DOGS is the Rescue Centre set up and run by Deerness Kennels. We are is committed to re-homing all our stray and resdue dogs whenever possible. These dogs are mostly homeless through no fault of their own, through family circumstances, owner's ill health, bereavement, being abandoned or abused, or just that their owners don't want them anymore

We have a non-destruction policy so that all dogs have a safe haven until a suitable home can be found.OUR PLEDGE IS TO KEEP ALL HEALTHY STRAY AND RESCUE DOGS UNTIL REHOMED OR PUT IN A PLACE OF SAFETY.

Our vet will  give the dog a health check, vaccinate, de-flea, worm, microchip and neuter. .

PETPLAN PROVIDE FOUR WEEKS' FREE INSURANCE WITH ALL OUR REHOMED DOGS

If you are thinking of buying a dog and can offer a suitable caring home, why not consider giving one of these dogs a chance for a new start?

We appreciate donations of any kind - dog food (complete, canned, mixers, treats etc). Bedding (sheets or towels) for the dogs to lie on. Donations of money are, of course, very much appreciated.
This all helps to keep the rescue centre going. Thank You.
